These are the sons of Yisrael: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun;

Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

בְּנֵי יְהוּדָה, עֵר וְאוֹנָן וְשֵׁלָה--שְׁלוֹשָׁה נוֹלַד לוֹ, מִבַּת-שׁוּעַ הַכְּנַעֲנִית; וַיְהִי עֵר בְּכוֹר יְהוּדָה, רַע בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה--וַיְמִיתֵהוּ. {ס}

The sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah; which three were born unto him of Bath-shua the Canaanitess. And Er, Judah's first-born, was wicked in the sight of YAHOWAH; and He slew him.

וְתָמָר, כַּלָּתוֹ, יָלְדָה לּוֹ, אֶת-פֶּרֶץ וְאֶת-זָרַח; כָּל-בְּנֵי יְהוּדָה, חֲמִשָּׁה. {ס}

And Tamar his daughter-in-law bore him Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

The sons of Perez: Hezron, and Hamul.

וּבְנֵי זֶרַח, זִמְרִי וְאֵיתָן וְהֵימָן וְכַלְכֹּל וָדָרַע--כֻּלָּם חֲמִשָּׁה. {ס}

And the sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.

וּבְנֵי, כַּרְמִי--עָכָר עוֹכֵר יִשְׂרָאֵל, אֲשֶׁר מָעַל בַּחֵרֶם. {ס}

And the sons of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Yisrael, who committed a trespass concerning the devoted thing.

And the sons of Ethan: Azariah.

וּבְנֵי חֶצְרוֹן, אֲשֶׁר נוֹלַד-לוֹ--אֶת-יְרַחְמְאֵל וְאֶת-רָם, וְאֶת-כְּלוּבָי.

The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him: Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.

וְרָם, הוֹלִיד אֶת-עַמִּינָדָב; וְעַמִּינָדָב הוֹלִיד אֶת-נַחְשׁוֹן, נְשִׂיא בְּנֵי יְהוּדָה.

And Ram begot Amminadab; and Amminadab begot Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;

וְנַחְשׁוֹן הוֹלִיד אֶת-שַׂלְמָא, וְשַׂלְמָא הוֹלִיד אֶת-בֹּעַז.

and Nahshon begot Salma, and Salma begot Boaz;

יב
וּבֹעַז הוֹלִיד אֶת-עוֹבֵד, וְעוֹבֵד הוֹלִיד אֶת-יִשָׁי.
|
12
and Boaz begot Obed, and Obed begot Jesse;
|
|
יג
וְאִישַׁי הוֹלִיד אֶת-בְּכֹרוֹ, אֶת-אֱלִיאָב--וַאֲבִינָדָב, הַשֵּׁנִי, וְשִׁמְעָא, הַשְּׁלִשִׁי.
|
13
and Jesse begot his first-born Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimea the third;

נְתַנְאֵל, הָרְבִיעִי, רַדַּי, הַחֲמִישִׁי.
|
14
Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth;
|
|
טו
אֹצֶם, הַשִּׁשִּׁי, דָּוִיד, הַשְּׁבִעִי.
|
15
Ozem the sixth, David the seventh.
|

טז
וְאַחְיֹתֵיהֶם, צְרוּיָה וַאֲבִיגָיִל; וּבְנֵי צְרוּיָה, אַבְשַׁי וְיוֹאָב וַעֲשָׂהאֵל--שְׁלֹשָׁה.

And their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.

יז
וַאֲבִיגַיִל, יָלְדָה אֶת-עֲמָשָׂא; וַאֲבִי עֲמָשָׂא, יֶתֶר הַיִּשְׁמְעֵאלִי.
|

And Abigail bore Amasa; and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite.
|

יח
וְכָלֵב בֶּן-חֶצְרוֹן, הוֹלִיד אֶת-עֲזוּבָה אִשָּׁה--וְאֶת-יְרִיעוֹת; וְאֵלֶּה בָנֶיהָ, יֵשֶׁר וְשׁוֹבָב וְאַרְדּוֹן.

And Caleb the son of Hezron begot children of Azubah his wife--and of Jerioth--and these were her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.

יט
וַתָּמָת, עֲזוּבָה; וַיִּקַּח-לוֹ כָלֵב אֶת-אֶפְרָת, וַתֵּלֶד לוֹ אֶת-חוּר.
|

And Azubah died, and Caleb took unto him Ephrath, who bore him Hur.
|
|
כ
וְחוּר הוֹלִיד אֶת-אוּרִי, וְאוּרִי הוֹלִיד אֶת-בְּצַלְאֵל. {ס}
|

And Hur begot Uri, and Uri begot Bezalel.

כא
וְאַחַר, בָּא חֶצְרוֹן אֶל-בַּת-מָכִיר אֲבִי גִלְעָד, וְהוּא לְקָחָהּ, וְהוּא בֶּן-שִׁשִּׁים שָׁנָה; וַתֵּלֶד לוֹ, אֶת-שְׂגוּב.

And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead; whom he took to wife when he was threescore years old; and she bore him Segub.

כב
וּשְׂגוּב, הוֹלִיד אֶת-יָאִיר; וַיְהִי-לוֹ, עֶשְׂרִים וְשָׁלוֹשׁ עָרִים, בְּאֶרֶץ, הַגִּלְעָד. {ס}

And Segub begot Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.

כג
וַיִּקַּח גְּשׁוּר-וַאֲרָם אֶת-חַוּת יָאִיר מֵאִתָּם, אֶת-קְנָת וְאֶת-בְּנֹתֶיהָ--שִׁשִּׁים עִיר; כָּל-אֵלֶּה, בְּנֵי מָכִיר אֲבִי-גִלְעָד.

And Geshur and Aram took Havvoth-jair from them, with Kenath, and the villages thereof, even threescore cities. All these were the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.

כד
וְאַחַר מוֹת-חֶצְרוֹן, בְּכָלֵב אֶפְרָתָה; וְאֵשֶׁת חֶצְרוֹן, אֲבִיָּה, וַתֵּלֶד לוֹ, אֶת-אַשְׁחוּר אֲבִי תְקוֹעַ. {ס}

And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb-ephrath, then Abiah Hezron's wife bore him Ashhur the father of Tekoa.

כה
וַיִּהְיוּ בְנֵי-יְרַחְמְאֵל בְּכוֹר חֶצְרוֹן, הַבְּכוֹר רָם; וּבוּנָה וָאֹרֶן וָאֹצֶם, אֲחִיָּה.

And the sons of Jerahmeel the first-born of Hezron were Ram the first-born, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, Ahijah.

וַתְּהִי אִשָּׁה אַחֶרֶת לִירַחְמְאֵל, וּשְׁמָהּ עֲטָרָה; הִיא, אֵם אוֹנָם. {ס}

And Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.

וַיִּהְיוּ בְנֵי-רָם, בְּכוֹר יְרַחְמְאֵל--מַעַץ וְיָמִין, וָעֵקֶר.

And the sons of Ram the first-born of Jerahmeel were Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.
|
|
כח
וַיִּהְיוּ בְנֵי-אוֹנָם, שַׁמַּי וְיָדָע; וּבְנֵי שַׁמַּי, נָדָב וַאֲבִישׁוּר.

And the sons of Onam were Shammai, and Jada; and the sons of Shammai: Nadab, and Abishur.
|

כט
וְשֵׁם אֵשֶׁת אֲבִישׁוּר, אֲבִיהָיִל; וַתֵּלֶד לוֹ, אֶת-אַחְבָּן וְאֶת-מוֹלִיד.

And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail; and she bore him Ahban, and Molid.
|

וּבְנֵי נָדָב, סֶלֶד וְאַפָּיִם; וַיָּמָת סֶלֶד, לֹא בָנִים.
|
30
And the sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appaim; but Seled died without children.
|

לא
וּבְנֵי אַפַּיִם, יִשְׁעִי; וּבְנֵי יִשְׁעִי שֵׁשָׁן, וּבְנֵי שֵׁשָׁן אַחְלָי.

And the sons of Appaim: Ishi. And the sons of Ishi: Sheshan. And the sons of Sheshan: Ahlai.

לב
וּבְנֵי יָדָע אֲחִי שַׁמַּי, יֶתֶר וְיוֹנָתָן; וַיָּמָת יֶתֶר, לֹא בָנִים. {ס}

And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai: Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether died without children.

וּבְנֵי יוֹנָתָן, פֶּלֶת וְזָזָא; אֵלֶּה הָיוּ, בְּנֵי יְרַחְמְאֵל.

And the sons of Jonathan: Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.
|

לד
וְלֹא-הָיָה לְשֵׁשָׁן בָּנִים, כִּי אִם-בָּנוֹת; וּלְשֵׁשָׁן עֶבֶד מִצְרִי, וּשְׁמוֹ יַרְחָע.
|

Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.

וַיִּתֵּן שֵׁשָׁן אֶת-בִּתּוֹ לְיַרְחָע עַבְדּוֹ, לְאִשָּׁה; וַתֵּלֶד לוֹ, אֶת-עַתָּי.

So Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bore him Attai.
|

לו
וְעַתַּי הֹלִיד אֶת-נָתָן, וְנָתָן הוֹלִיד אֶת-זָבָד.
|
36
And Attai begot Nathan, and Nathan begot Zabad;
|

לז
וְזָבָד הוֹלִיד אֶת-אֶפְלָל, וְאֶפְלָל הוֹלִיד אֶת-עוֹבֵד.
|
37
and Zabad begot Ephlal, and Ephlal begot Obed;
|
|
לח
וְעוֹבֵד הוֹלִיד אֶת-יֵהוּא, וְיֵהוּא הֹלִיד אֶת-עֲזַרְיָה.
|
38
and Obed begot Jehu, and Jehu begot Azariah;
|
|
לט
וַעֲזַרְיָה הֹלִיד אֶת-חָלֶץ, וְחֶלֶץ הֹלִיד אֶת-אֶלְעָשָׂה.
|
39
and Azariah begot Helez, and Helez begot Eleasah;
|
|
מ
וְאֶלְעָשָׂה הֹלִיד אֶת-סִסְמָי, וְסִסְמַי הֹלִיד אֶת-שַׁלּוּם.
|
40
and Eleasah begot Sisamai, and Sisamai begot Shallum;
|
|
מא
וְשַׁלּוּם הוֹלִיד אֶת-יְקַמְיָה, וִיקַמְיָה הֹלִיד אֶת-אֱלִישָׁמָע. {ס}

and Shallum begot Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begot Elishama.

וּבְנֵי כָלֵב אֲחִי יְרַחְמְאֵל, מֵישָׁע בְּכֹרוֹ הוּא אֲבִי-זִיף, וּבְנֵי מָרֵשָׁה, אֲבִי חֶבְרוֹן.

And the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were Mesha his first-born, who was the father of Ziph, and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

וּבְנֵי, חֶבְרוֹן--קֹרַח וְתַפֻּחַ, וְרֶקֶם וָשָׁמַע.

And the sons of Hebron: Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.
|

מד
וְשֶׁמַע הוֹלִיד, אֶת-רַחַם אֲבִי יָרְקְעָם; וְרֶקֶם, הוֹלִיד אֶת-שַׁמָּי.
|

And Shema begot Raham, the father of Jorkeam; and Rekem begot Shammai.
|

מה
וּבֶן-שַׁמַּי, מָעוֹן; וּמָעוֹן, אֲבִי בֵית-צוּר.
|

And the son of Shammai was Maon; and Maon was the father of Beth-zur.
|
|
מו
וְעֵיפָה פִּילֶגֶשׁ כָּלֵב, יָלְדָה אֶת-חָרָן וְאֶת-מוֹצָא וְאֶת-גָּזֵז; וְחָרָן, הֹלִיד אֶת-גָּזֵז. {ס}

And Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begot Gazez.

וּבְנֵי, יָהְדָּי--רֶגֶם וְיוֹתָם וְגֵישָׁן וָפֶלֶט, וְעֵיפָה וָשָׁעַף.

And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.

פִּילֶגֶשׁ כָּלֵב מַעֲכָה, יָלַד שֶׁבֶר וְאֶת-תִּרְחֲנָה.

Maacah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah.
|
|

וַתֵּלֶד, שַׁעַף אֲבִי מַדְמַנָּה, אֶת-שְׁוָא אֲבִי מַכְבֵּנָה, וַאֲבִי גִבְעָא; וּבַת-כָּלֵב, עַכְסָה. {ס}

And [the wife of] Shaaph the father of Madmannah bore Sheva the father of Machbenah and the father of Gibea. And the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.

אֵלֶּה הָיוּ בְּנֵי כָלֵב, בֶּן-חוּר בְּכוֹר אֶפְרָתָה--שׁוֹבָל, אֲבִי קִרְיַת יְעָרִים.

These were the sons of Caleb. The sons of Hur the first-born of Ephrath: Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim;

Salma the father of Beth-lehem, Hareph the father of Beth-gader.

וַיִּהְיוּ בָנִים לְשׁוֹבָל, אֲבִי קִרְיַת יְעָרִים, הָרֹאֶה, חֲצִי הַמְּנֻחוֹת.

And Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim had sons: Haroeh, and half of the Menuhoth.
|

וּמִשְׁפְּחוֹת, קִרְיַת יְעָרִים--הַיִּתְרִי וְהַפּוּתִי, וְהַשֻּׁמָתִי וְהַמִּשְׁרָעִי; מֵאֵלֶּה, יָצְאוּ הַצָּרְעָתִי--וְהָאֶשְׁתָּאֻלִי. {ס}

And the families of Kiriath-jearim: the Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zorathites, and the Eshtaolites.

The sons of Salma: Beth-lehem, and the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab, and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites.

וּמִשְׁפְּחוֹת סֹפְרִים ישבו (יֹשְׁבֵי) יַעְבֵּץ, תִּרְעָתִים שִׁמְעָתִים שׂוּכָתִים; הֵמָּה הַקִּינִים הַבָּאִים, מֵחַמַּת אֲבִי בֵית-רֵכָב. {ס}

And the families of scribes that dwelt at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, the Sucathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.
